Le Shi

Le Shi, a native of Yihuang County is a geographer of North Song Dynasty. He was the first Jinshi (successful candidate) of the imperial examination in Fuzhou. He was learned and wrote about twenty books, with the Geography of Tai Ping Period as his masterpiece, in which he originated writing local chronicles.
